Requirements
- Android 5.0+ (Lollipop)
- Stock boot.img of your device or backup from your device using a box/ dongle like Miracle, NCK, CM2.
- Download Latest - Magisk Manager
- Active internet connection on your Android device
Hopping the above is all fine let's now move to work
Part A: Patching the stock boot.img
- Install MagiskManager apk on any android device
- Copy the stock boot.img of the device you want to root toto your phone internal storage or SD card
- Launch Magisk Manager app
- If prompted to install Magisk, select NO THANKS
- Select Install > Install > Patch Boot Image File >
- Navigate to the location of the stock boot.img you copied earlier on, then Select it
- Magisk Manager should begin downloading the magisk zip file used for patching
- Once download is complete, MagiskManager will automatically patch the boot file and store it under SDcard/MagiskManager/patched_boot.img
Part B: installing the patched _boot.img
- Now copy the new patched_boot.img to your pc
- You now use Sp_flash tool with the original scattter file of your device to flash the boot image
- Open Sp tool , load Scatter File
- Untick all options except "boot"
- Select the new patched (by double clicking on boot and navigate to where you saved it
- And hit the download button
